Sally Baer has been committed to Bornblum Jewish Community School since its inception in 1988. Her first years at the school were spent teaching second grade and then, more recently, as an administrator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s in Educational Administration. She has an administrator’s license and an elementary teaching certificate. Mrs. Baer is certified to serve on accreditation teams for AdvancED and is pleased that BJCS’s accreditation status was granted for another five years after its extensive evaluation in the 2012/13 school year. Sally Baer is also an Independent Facilitator for Parenting the Love and Logic Way ™ and 9 Essential Skills for the Love and Logic Classroom®.
Mrs. Baer takes particular pride in the sense of independence students at BJCS gain through personalized instruction and the countless leadership opportunities they receive. The feedback about BJCS graduates from high school administrators is consistently positive regarding not only academic preparedness but social readiness for the challenges that lie ahead. According to Mrs. Baer, the connection that BJCS graduates maintain throughout their lives to their Jewish heritage is one of the most meaningful gifts offered by the school with credit belonging to the outstanding faculty and family support.
