Morah Tami Hershkovitz moved to Memphis from Israel in 2000. She worked as a Preschool teacher at the Memphis Jewish Community Center for seven years and joined the Bornblum team in 2007.  Through the years Tami taught Jewish studies to 3rd and 4th graders and Hebrew to Middle School. For the current school year, Tami is teaching 5th – 8th grades Hebrew and Jewish studies.

Tami and her husband have two children, both former students at Bornblum. One of her favorite quotes is from Theodore Herzel, the founding father of modern Israel,"Im Tirtzu - ein zo agada" - "If you wish - it's not a dream." This quote reflects her teaching philosophy.
