Mrs. Eve Cooper joined the BJCS faculty this year. She is happy to be back in the classroom after spending three years with the Dixon Gallery and Gardens as an outreach art instructor. Mrs. Cooper attended the University of Texas at Austin for undergraduate studies and received her Master’s in Teaching from the University of Memphis. She completed training at Vanderbilt University in gifted and talented curriculum. She previously taught kindergarten and first grade for Atlanta Public Schools and K-5 CLUE-gifted program for Memphis City Schools.
When she is not teaching, Mrs. Cooper enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff Klayman, and her four children, Caroline, Simon, Annie, and Drew. She relaxes by reading, running, or practicing yoga. Mrs. Cooper is very excited to be a part of the BJCS family and is looking forward to a year full of fun and learning. She believes all students are talented and works hard to help each student achieve his or her highest potential.
