Charleen Davis joined the Bornblum Middle School teaching team in 2015. She has a master’s from the University of South Florida in library science and an English education bachelor’s degree. Her background includes extensive publishing and editorial experience. Charleen taught high school and college English in Florida and was a textbook editor for Pearson. She is the author of several books on prayer and the developmental editor for a juvenile biography series.
Having taught and tutored students, including ESL adults and children, Charleen’s philosophy of teaching includes a firm belief that excitement and satisfaction should be part of the learning experience. Her favorite quote is, “You cannot light a fire if you cannot pass a torch.” Charleen currently teaches sixth grade English and sixth, seventh, and eighth grade composition. She coaches the Bobcat Debate Club and organizes local debate competitions and tournaments.
